Data & Analytics • Data Products • Data Governance • Business Intelligence
Manager, Data & Analytics delivering modern BI, self-service data products, and enterprise data governance. I translate goals into scalable data models, transparent metrics, and intuitive dashboards that drive decisions.
Signature Use Cases
Use Case 1: Outreach Map (United States Public High Schools)
Business Need
Provide a unified, drillable view of schools to target outreach, assess regional gaps, and plan expansion with confidence.
Impact
- Reduced manual research time and surfaced high-value targets.
- Supported territory planning and strategic prioritization.
- Improved executive visibility through geospatial rollups.
Technical Solution & Data Product
Integrated NCES datasets and designed a geo-enabled Tableau dashboard with filtering by state, district, locale, and contact attributes; added drill-down maps and exportable tables for operational workflows.
Use Case 2: Engagement Score (Analytics Data Product)
Business Need
Establish a transparent, consistent way to evaluate engagement across multiple systems and prioritize support.
Impact
- Shared KPIs and consistent definitions across teams.
- Faster, more accurate intervention and follow-up.
- Higher self-service adoption and fewer ad-hoc requests.
Technical Solution & Data Product
Built a multi-system action model (fact actions + conformed dimensions), standardized metric definitions, and tiered scoring logic. Delivered a drill-down Tableau dashboard with facilitator-level views, role-based access, and exportable tables.
Core Competencies
Highlights include Tableau Cloud-ready design, governance frameworks (ownership, access, standards), org-aligned KPI strategy, and narrative data transparency.

Tableau Migration
The organization migrated its analytics environment from an on-premise Tableau Server to Tableau Cloud to improve performance, governance, reliability, and long-term scalability. The previous on-premise environment required continuous engineering intervention—managing server patches, coordinating downtime, restarting services, handling extract failures, and resolving access or authentication inconsistencies. As dashboard adoption grew across Programs, Outreach, Development, and Operations, these maintenance burdens increased, creating performance issues and operational risk.
To address these challenges, I partnered with engineering, BI administrators, program leadership, and the vendor to design and execute a full migration to Tableau Cloud. My role centered on requirements gathering, asset inventory, governance alignment, user impact analysis, content consolidation, permissions architecture, and testing for performance and reliability.
Key work included auditing all dashboards and data sources, cleaning unused extracts and content, defining folder and project structures, and mapping all users into role-based access controls . Post-migration, dashboards loaded approximately 11% faster, refresh failures dropped substantially, and uptime increased.
One of the largest gains came from eliminating the engineering overhead associated with maintaining self-hosted infrastructure. By moving to Tableau Cloud, the organization removed the need for engineers to perform server regular upgrades—reducing engineering support costs by an estimated 20% and freeing engineering time for higher-value analytics and product work. This cost reduction, combined with improved refresh reliability and simplified administration, significantly strengthened the organization’s BI foundation.
The result was a modern, scalable, cloud-hosted analytics platform that improved performance, reduced IT burden, enhanced governance, and created space for faster delivery of insights and data products across the organization.
